IL MORO DI VENEZIA III,
won the International Class "A" Yachting
Association (ICAYA) World Championship title in 1988, skippered by none other than
Paul Cayard. In 1989 she came in second in the same series after another famous Italian
maxi, Longobarda.

IL MORO DI VENEZIA IX
(ex. Windward Passage II) was launched in 1988 as the first carbon
kevlar maxi. She participated in two ICAYA races that same year before returning
home to Australia, winning in Hawaii and placing second after IL MORO DI
VENEZIA III in St.Thomas.
These two renowned German Frers IOR maxis are now available for private, corporate and racing
charters. They are based in Oslo but can cater to your sailing fantasies anywhere in
