BVI SPRING REGATTA
(March 27 - April 2, 2006)
Third largest regatta in the Caribbean
Over 100 yachts will be competing in this annual event, which has become
one of the Caribbean's premier yacht races. It has developed a
reputation for serious competition and serious partying. The Regatta
consists of three days of non-stop racing action, three days and nights of pure fun. "The separate
courses for spinnaker and non-spinnaker yachts as well as the international-level
race management and sheltered sailing waters makes this one of the premier events in the
Caribbean", says Bob Phillips, chairman of the British Virgin Islands Spring Regatta.
Before, during and after the races the Regatta village at the Nanny Cay Marina takes on a
carnival-like atmosphere with food, drinks, games, dancing, and other forms of entertainment
for landlubbers and yachtsmen who converge to eat, drink and make merry.
Racing enthusiasts who have experienced the BVI Spring Regatta return year after year and they
all agree that you have not sailed until you sail the waters of the BVI. Send us an e-mail or a
fax and we will help you to find just the yacht you would like to race in the BVI Spring
Regatta.
