is an area with imposing mountain formations and thousands of islands that has given rise to
many a myth and legend. The part that is best suited to
cruise stretches from the town of Brønnøysund in the south, past the city of Bodø
and on to the Lofoten islands. The Arctic Circle runs through the middle of this
archipelago which also encompasses Norway's second largest glacier,
Svartisen (The Black Ice).
The natives in this part of Norway are known for their humor and hospitality; the bird
life for its gulls, cormorants, guillemots, puffins and eagles; the sea life for its
cod, herring, whales and seals; the scuba divers for their wide eyes and big grins.
Roughly 200 nautical miles of sparsely populated, wild and breathtaking coast line is waiting.
A good part of it can be covered in one week. Being adjacent to
the Lofoten islands, these two areas can be combined in a two week charter that
will leave you in awe.
