Scandinavia

The Norwegian and Swedish coastlines are among the ndiscovered gems of the world. May through August is normally the best period to charter here, although an off season cruise on the western coast of Norway is an equally unforgettable experience, albeit with warm clothing and a warm boat.
Lofoten - Norway's most pristine cruising area. Rugged pinnacles protrude from the sea, here in the land of the midnight sun.

Nordland - Norway's second largest glacier in the midst of fjords and thousands of islands along the coast.

Vestlandet - home of the most famous fjords. A diverse and exhilarating experience. This is perhaps the most stereotypical part of Norway.

Skagerrak - favorite summer vacationing area for many Scandinavians. Three closely related countries surround this arm of the North Sea.

Baltic Sea - Sweden's gorgeous east coast, by many regarded as Scandinavia's yachting center. Finland, the Baltic States and even Russia are within reach.

Norway

Compared to its relatively modest land area (roughly the same size as Italy or New Mexico), Norway's coastline is immense. If you include the mainland, the roughly 50,000 islands, the numerous fjords and all indentations it measures 21,925 kilometers or 13,623 miles!
The map on the right gives an idea of the convoluted shoreline and shows the location of some of the larger cities along the coast.
